We are thrilled you want to volunteer with us. Our volunteers are the backbone of our rescue. We can't wait to introduce you to our organization and the team that makes it all happen. Please take a few minutes to read through the website. Learn our foster and adoption processes (no quizzes...we promise), and read the stories of the animals whose lives have been changed through Clay County Animal Shelter. If a kid is under 16 years old, they will need a parent/guardian with them at all times. When you're ready, please fill out our VOLUNTEER APPLICATION
Our animals are always in need of opurtunities to socialize. Come on by and walk a dog or two because they always need the exercise. If you prefer cats, come play with our sweet cats or help socialize some of our skittish cats by just hanging out and throwing out the occasional treat. Everyone is welcome, 16 years and under will need a parent/guardian with them at all times. We are open from 9 am to 1 pm every day.
We always need help setting up or transporting our animals to functions.
Consider hosting a bake sale, organize a raffle . . . the options are endless. Contact us so we can help you get the resources you need to create an amazing event.
